RE: the garden - we used to get our garden washed out with the rain, too...our back yard sits lower than any other spot in our yard. My hubby put in raised beds a few years ago and they are awesome...easier to manage/weed/water - keeps up out of the muck and you can plant more per area!!
They look so cute in theose huge glasses.
